Beginner Course to Become A Skin Therapist

Become A Skin Therapist

In comparison to the Level 2 Facial Skincare Course, ‘Become a Skin Therapist’ gives you a far deeper look into the structure of the skin and skin conditions, practicals in facials and facial electrics, as well as the theory behind more advanced treatments such as laser resurfacing, peels and microneedling.

This course is specifically built so if you have not been working in this industry before you can go straight into skin treatments.

If you would like to specialise in advanced skin treatments such as skin needling and skin peels you will need to do the Become A Skin Specialist course, which will give you the highest qualification available in skin. If however you want to take the first step and see how you get on, then this course is perfect.

Advanced Core Of Knowledge Skin Course

‘Advanced Core Knowledge of Skin’ is the first of its kind in the industry. This has already helped people elevate their practise and imbues students with an in-depth, cohesive knowledge of the skin. The course was created exclusively by Skin Philosophy Training in response to the demand from Aesthetic professionals, doctors and nurses looking to advance their knowledge in skin types, conditions and treatments.

As well as how to provide an advanced skin analysis, we look at how more advanced skin treatments can treat conditions such as:

– Acne
– Rosacea
– Hyperpigmentation

We then look at the theory of advanced skin treatments (as stated, this segment is theory only) such as:

– Micro needling / Dermapen
– Chemical peels
– Radio Frequency skin tightening
– Laser resurfacing

Our training days run from 10am to 4pm (arrival is at 9:45, to allow a prompt start), with a short break for lunch.

All courses are run as small groups (4/5 people) which allows plenty of opportunity to ask questions or seek further support if required. This also ensures that over the few days, you will have lots of models to practice on.

All of our tutors specialise in Aesthetics and have worked in the industry for years. Our college curriculum is based around moving into advanced skin treatments not just learning beauty facials.

All centres have the very latest equipment and products required to adhere to industry standards. We also have an on-going Support Team and a Facebook group available to answer any query you may have regarding your training with us.

Entry Requirements

Our diploma courses are suitable for complete beginners and do not require any prior learning to be able to train with us; many of our students are not beauty trained and are looking to start up a business in the industry. We welcome students of all abilities, whether you are looking to learn a new skill from scratch or currently working as a therapist and looking to refresh your knowledge of particular treatments.

Students will require a good command of spoken and written English to complete the VTCT qualification.
